About Cherisa Chapa, ASBC®
Mrs. Cherisa Chapa, ASBC®, is the founder and head task master for Recharge Digital Consultants. With over 28 years of experience in Business, Marketing, and Information Technology, Cherisa uses her knowledge and skills to assist individuals as a Healthcare (and Business) Consultant and an Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC®).
She assists small to medium organizations in the management and implementation of business processes, such as accounting, marketing, sales, human resources, compliance, and operational excellence in their organizations. She also provides guidance and expertise in training employees in these processes and selecting technology solutions to meet the needs of her clients.
Mrs. Chapa actively promotes the removal of “knowledge bottlenecks” that choke productivity and diminish customer experiences and prescribes using centralized systems to manage client, patient, and employee data. She assists with digital transformation projects to ensure consistent customer experiences, empower employees, and maintain regulatory compliance

She offers experience in process improvement (people, process, technology), process documentation, content and media creation, instructional training design, website design and development, and digital solutions, plus providing individualized and team coaching services. For instance, she offers medical providers and their business associates assistance complying with HIPAA and state privacy and security regulations.
Mrs. Chapa follows the auditing protocols of Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) and assists organizations in assessing, evaluating, and monitoring their security governance and security controls utilizing recognized security frameworks, such as those outlined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). She is actively working towards certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
She is an Accredited Small Business Consultant (STEM Approach), a Certified Trainual Consultant, and a member of multiple professional associations, which include the American Marketing Association, American Health Information Management Association, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
When she isn’t geeking out, she enjoys the companionship of her loving husband, raising two energetic, fast-growing boys, cuddling with her elderly tabby, and engaging in various nerdy pursuits.

Motivation
Mrs. Cherisa Chapa, ASBC®, started Recharge Digital Consultancy to aid small businesses with implementing standards in their organization; thus allowing her to help provide for the needs of her family. However, that wasn’t the only motivation. Her oldest son was born with autism. Although he is a high-functioning bright individual, like most with a disability, he will have challenges supporting himself as an adult. By joining the family business, he will have a better opportunity to be self-sustaining. The goal is for both sons to enjoy working in the family business.
