Dental Support Commitment and Agreement

Updated: December 16, 2020

At Recharge Consultants, LLC, we are committed to supporting the success and autonomy of the dentists we partner with. We recognize that the dentist is the cornerstone of patient care and the leader of their practice. Our role is to provide administrative, operational, and business support, enabling dentists to focus on delivering exceptional clinical care.

We affirm that:

  • Clinical Decisions Belong to the Dentist: The licensed dentist exclusively determines all clinical decisions, treatment plans, and patient interactions.
  • Practice Leadership rests with the Dentist, who retains full authority over the practice’s vision, culture, and priorities.
  • Support, Not Direction: Our purpose is to assist with non-clinical functions such as billing, marketing, HR, and compliance while leaving the dentist in complete control of their business operations.

By prioritizing the dentist’s leadership and autonomy, we strive to foster a partnership that enhances patient care, empowers clinicians, and sustains thriving practices. We recognize that our dentists must retain authority and control over their Practices to comply with the Corporate Practice of Dentistry doctrine*.

How We Support Our Dentists

While we may recommend ways to review, analyze, manage, and monitor your production or revenue goals or ways to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your patient medical records, we will never require any of our partners to give up control of treatment times, clinical decisions, equipment use, supply purchases, patient records, or vendor relationships.

Additionally, we may provide our dentists with supportive services, such as completing and managing employee paperwork and employment training, or perform audits and assessments to evaluate processes and systems to improve patient flows, verify compliance, and refine employee engagement.

Access to and authorization to modify and/or implement processes and systems and hire or terminate employees, vendors, or solution providers are granted only with the dentist’s written approval or through applicable documentation.

Our focus is on assisting and supporting you in providing value-added patient care. We suggest you modify your business functions to improve patient experiences based on best practices, industry trends, technological advancements, or applicable regulations and laws.

Management Integrity

We base several recommendations on applicable laws and regulations. If the dentist chooses not to comply with or we become aware of any criminal, fraudulent, or similar acts by the practice or your management, or you or your management is accused or becomes the subject of any investigation by any government entity of criminal, fraudulent, or similar acts that cause us to have a reasonable doubt as to your or your management’s integrity, we may choose to immediately terminate our Engagement Agreement according to our Professional Services Terms and Conditions.

*The Corporate Practice of Dentistry doctrine is a legal principle that prohibits corporations or non-dentist entities from owning or operating dental practices. This doctrine holds that dentistry is a professional service that should be provided by licensed professionals subject to ethical and legal standards.
